Medigap-Comparison-6 (1).jpg

As of 2020, Medicare Supplement insurance companies can no longer sell Plan F or Plan C to newly eligible Medicare members. Congress issued the MACRA law stating that new Medigap plans are no longer allowed to cover the Part B deductible as of January 1, 2020.

The Part B Deductible for 2022 is $233.00.

We highly recommend Plan G & Plan N, Plan G covers everything but the Part B deductible.

Plan N covers everything but the Part B deductible and Part B excess charges.  Excess charges are a maximum 15% above Medicare approved amounts.  Specialists can charge these but it is very, very rare, 97-98% of specialists do not charge these fees.   Plan N also has 2 copays, a $20 copay to see a medical provider and a $50 copay if you need emergency care and are not immediately admitted to the hospital.  The $20 copay to see a medical provider is vague at best, it all comes down to the medical billing code that the medical provider uses.
